President Xi Jinping on Friday called for efforts to fully build the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force into a world-class air force. Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), made the requirement while attending an event celebrating the 70th founding anniversary of the PLA Air Force.
人民空军站在了新的历史起点上。要深入贯彻新时代党的强军思想，深入贯彻新时代军事战略方针，牢记初心使命，发扬光荣传统，勇于创新超越，努力把人民空军全面建成世界一流空军。
Standing at a new historical starting point, the air force should implement the Party's thinking on strengthening the military and the military strategy for the new era, stay true to the founding mission, pass on the fine traditions and break new ground to fully build a world-class air force.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, spoke in Beijing at a conference on the development of the PLA that began on Friday and concluded on Sunday. "Strengthening military construction at the primary level in the new era is where the root and strength for strengthening and revitalizing the armed forces lie," Xi said.

交通运输部、国家发改委等9个部门联合印发《关于建设世界一流港口的指导意见》。《意见》提出，到2035年，主要港口总体达到世界一流水平；到2050年，形成若干个世界级港口群，发展水平位居世界前列。
Nine government agencies including the Ministry of Transport and the National Development and Reform Commission released a guideline to accelerate the building of world-class ports. By 2035, major ports should advance to world-class levels and by 2050, several world-class port clusters should be formed, with leading development levels, according to the guideline.
